Best Baker in America puts one of the country's favorite pastimes in the spotlight as eight skilled bakers bring their style and creativity to the table, transforming simple ideas into stunning and tasty treats. Over six weeks, the bakers face challenges that test both their technical ability and how well they can incorporate ingredients and flavors into their own baking vision. Food Network Star winner Jason Smith joins Marcela Valladolid on the judging panel, eliminating one baker at a time until only the most skilled and thrilling baker remains to win a $25,000 prize and be named Best Baker in America.

Modern Classics

The four remaining bakers vie for the finale as they make mini mirror glaze cakes -- perfectly mirrored on the outside with layered mousse on the inside -- in the Skills Challenge. In the Master Challenge, the bakers must bake, plate and present a two-course dessert tasting menu feature chilies and fennel. Host Adam Rapoport and judges Jason Smith and Marcela Valladolid decide which bakers have what it takes to move on to the finale.
