Best in Chow: North America's Top Tacos

It's time for host Cris Nannarone to talk tacos, and he's taking his taste-testing competition all over the United States and Canada to discover the Best in Chow.

BBQ Pork Tacos

Squeal Bar-B-Q gives its pulled pork a kick with horseradish coleslaw and homemade chipotle sauce.

At Guisados Tacos in Los Angeles, they braise all their meat and make the tortillas by hand.

Conchinita Pibil

These slow-roasted pork tacos from Barrio Cafe in Phoenix, Ariz., are worth a trip out west.

Tacos al Pastor

In Vancouver, Mexican restaurant Sal y Limon serves up Tacos al Pastor, a traditional marinated pork taco topped with pineapple.

Taco de Lengua 

Rebozos Mexican Restaurant, located in Toronto, serves a taco that might just leave you tongue-tied (because it's made with beef tongue).

Ancho-Braised Short Rib Taco

At Playa Cabana's in Toronto, beef short ribs are braised in ancho chiles, then wrapped in fresh corn tortillas and griddled to a golden crispiness.

Tacos Zarandeados

Milagos Cantina in Toronto fills its special tacos with octopus, snapper, achiote (a Mexican spice paste) and pineapple-habanero salsa.

Quesa Taco

These award-winning tacos are filled with melted Oaxaca cheese and grilled shrimp cooked in Leticia's Cocina's famous Abuelo Sauce, then topped with a chipotle cream sauce. Leticia's Cocina in Las Vegas is worth betting on.

Fish Tacos

Diego's, located on the Strip in Las Vegas, makes a fish taco that's light but full of flavor.


At Tacos and Tequila in Las Vegas, they top pork carnitas with pickled onion for a satisfying tang.
