Ching-He Huang helps her friend, Phil Rosenthal, to prepare Chinese-inspired finger foods for a party he is throwing for his wife's birthday. They make Lemon Smash, Longevity Noodles, Mini Taiwanese Meatballs, Oolong Tea Infused Pisco Sour, Seafood and Chive Dumplings, and Spicy Lychee Tequila Gimlet.

When it comes to spicy food, Chinese food is often not thought of as being part of the conversation. Ching-He Huang wants to change this perception by showing how Chinese cuisine can be both dangerously hot and pleasantly accessible with her Spicy Four-Chile Pepper Chicken and Smoky Hot Scallops and Chives.

Chinese cuisine makes the jump from Chinatown to Manhattan's finest restaurants as Ching-He Huang sees how these superstar chefs have incorporated their favorite elements of Chinese cuisine into their restaurant's menu. Recipes include Chicken with Kaffir Lime Pesto, Far East Lobster Bouillabaisse, Classic Shrimp Laksa with Rice Noodles and Eastern Style Tuna Nicoise Salad with Tea Marbled Eggs and Wasabi Vinaigrette.

Ching-He Huang explores Americans' favorite Chinese food and how it differs from the Chinese cuisine found in China. She makes Shrimp and Bacon Sesame Toast and General Tso's Chicken with Spiced Sesame Rice.

Sweet Chinese

Ching-He Huang sets out to show the unseen side of Chinese cuisine -- the delicious sweets. She is enlisted to prepare some Chinese-inspired desserts for a kid's party, and makes Egg Custard Tarts with Bananas and Caramel and Strawberry-Lychee Spring Rolls.

Veggie-Love

Ching-He Huang has a goal -- to make the vegetables the star of the plate! She takes a tour of restaurants with some unique vegetarian dishes, and then heads to Union Square Greenmarket to cook with a program for at-risk youth, making Egg-Fried Rice with Pickled Vegetables and Grilled Asian Vegetable Couscous.

A Day in Chinatown

Ching-He Huang explores the rich Chinese culture found in Manhattan's Chinatown, from ping pong, tai chi and men playing Chinese chess in the park, to a dim sum house and classic food carts. Recipes include Pork Meatballs in Sticky Rice and Chili Chicken Pitas with Spicy Hoisin Sauce.
