A pie craze is sweeping the nation and the Cooking Channel is out to showcase it! The belief that "pies are the next cupcakes" is gaining momentum. Part of that sentiment is based on pie/cupcake similarities. Both are classic desserts with comforting associations that are great for virtually any occasion.
