The holidays at the Simmons' house means a week full of food and family. As is tradition, Justine kicks off the holidays with a family brunch, and this time she's making her Breakfast Before casserole. After brunch, what would a feast be without gingerbread men cookies? But in Rev's house they are Ninjabread Men, to be exact. The kids are on decorating duty, so it's Rev's job to get everyone in the spirit by whipping up his Rich and Creamy Hot Cocoa. When feast day finally arrives, the whole family is more than ready to cook and celebrate. From Rev's Always on Time Prime Rib, to Justine's Cheesy Buttermilk Garlic Mash, to Diggy's Colorful Carrots, this holiday feast is bound to be one for the books. Happy hearts and full bellies are just a couple of the ingredients for a successful Simmons holiday -- it wouldn't be complete without the star ingredient ... family.
Rev Run's Thanksgiving Supper
Thanksgiving at the Simmons's house always revolves around an abundance of food, family and fun. But Justine's carefully planned menu gets upended when Rev decides to make a Crispy Deep Fried Turkey. Justine has been planning for months to cook her Juicy Oven Roasted Turkey with Quick Pan Gravy. With no one willing to back down, Rev and Justine decide to make their own birds and a friendly spousal competition begins. Justine prepares her Tangy Cranberry Sauce, Roasted Asparagus with Bacon and a Special Pumpkin Pie with Gingersnap Crust. Meanwhile Rev throws down by making Mini Apple Pie Bites and Savory Individual Stuffing Muffin Cups. As the family gathers around the table, it becomes clear that no one can choose between the two amazing turkeys and all the delicious sides. Rev and Justine realize that at this Thanksgiving, surrounded by happy, healthy and well-fed family, they're all winners.
