Season 3, Episode 3

Jerk Ribeye

Nigel Spence grew up in Jamaica. When he moved to the US he brought with him his love of Jamaican cooking and his talent for creating amazing Jerk food, including a mouthwatering Jerk Ribeye Steak. Nigel interned briefly at the Food Network on shows like Bobby Flay's "Hot off the Grill" before opening the Ripe Restaurant & Bar in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., just north of the Big Apple. It wasn't long before Ripe was packed with hungry customers, and his Jerk Ribeye reigned supreme. Now Nigel thinks he's starring in a new Food Network show called "Melting Pot Masters." Little does he know that the chef he once worked for is going to crash his backyard barbeque and challenge him to a Jerk Ribeye Throwdown! Does the Iron Chef know how to work the Jerk, or will his former student become the master?
