Chef Anne Burrell and a premier chef cohost each take on a team of six hopeless home cooks and try to transform them from kitchen zeros into kitchen heroes in only 10 days. Viewers will follow the personal journeys of the twelve "recruits" as they face a series of high-pressure culinary challenges in their attempts to triumph over their inability to cook. At the end of each episode, one recruit from each team must be eliminated. The two who make it to the end will face the final challenge-to prepare a 3-course, restaurant-quality meal for a panel of food critics. At stake for the chefs: their professional reputations. At stake for the recruits: $25,000, and the right to say that they are no longer one of the Worst Cooks in America.
