Cookbook Giveaway: The Pioneer Woman Cooks

By: Kirsten Vala

Everyone’s favorite accidental country girl, Ree Drummond, started the blog ThePioneerWoman.com in 2006, sharing stories of ranch life in Oklahoma, amazing photographs of food and family, and, of course, irresistible cowboy- and kid-approved recipes. Her first cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks, was a #1 New York Times best-seller, and last year she became a Food Network star with her cooking show, The Pioneer Woman.

Ree’s second cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Food From My Frontier, focuses on simple, delicious food. She includes more than 100 recipes, covering every meal of the day with beautiful step-by-step photos for no-fail results. As you dive into her homey recipes, like cowgirl quiche, homemade glazed donuts, fried chicken tacos and more, prepare to be transported by Ree’s pictures and prose to a world of truck driving, cattle ranching, horse riding and good eating. This is one cookbook everyone, city slickers and country folk alike, will enjoy reading and using.

Give a few of Ree’s down-home recipes a try today:

We’re giving away one copy of The Pioneer Woman Cooks to one lucky winner. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment telling us your favorite down-home country food.

So, tell us, what’s your favorite country cooking dish?

You must include your email address in the “Email” field when submitting your comment so we can communicate back with you if you’re the winner. (But do not post your email address into the actual body of the comment.) We’re giving one copy away to one very lucky, randomly selected commenter.

You may only comment once to be considered, and you don’t have to purchase anything to win; a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Odds depend on total number of entries. Void where prohibited. Only open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states, D.C. or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least 18 years of age to win. All entries (comments) must be entered between 4:00 p.m. ET on March 30 and 5:00 p.m. ET on April 3. Subject to full Official Rules. By leaving a comment on the blog, you acknowledge your acceptance to the Official Rules. ARV of prize: $29.99.
