Use toasted almonds. Once you have the mixture on the cookie sheet, flatten it using an orange or a lemon. The brittle will retain the citrus flavor. Fantastic!

Delicious! I used slivered almonds (because it was what I had in the house and I spread it out on a bigger cookie sheet. They were yummy!!
