Ingredients

Directions

Special equipment:
a grill or campfire
  1. Prepare a gas grill for medium heat or a charcoal grill or campfire with warm coals.
  2. Cut 2 slits into the banana peel lengthwise on the inside curve of the fruit. Pull back a strip of the peel to expose the banana, but leave the peel attached so it can be replaced later.
  3. Cut a slit into the banana.  If you want, you can cut a long chunk from the center and then replace it after you fill the banana.
  4. Fill the center of the banana with your favorite meltable treats. We used milk chocolate chips and marshmallows.
  5. Replace the banana peel and wrap with foil. Bake on a covered gas grill over medium heat or in the warm coals of a charcoal grill or campfire until the chocolate and marshmallows have started to melt, 5 to 7 minutes.
