Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun spice
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pound Andouille Sausage, sliced on the bias
  • Honey mustard, as needed

Directions

Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the brown sugar, molasses, Cajun spice, and salt to dissolve (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool. Once the mix is cool, add sausage and cover. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

In a medium skillet add sausage and about 2 ounces of the marinade. Cook over medium-high heat for about 6 minutes, allowing sausages to cook on both sides. Let the liquid to turn into a glaze and serve sausages hot. Serve with honey mustard or desired condiment.
