G. Garvin's Fried Brussels Sprouts

ingredients

  • 3 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

Carefully place the Brussels sprouts in the hot oil and cook until nicely browned and just cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes. (Have a lid nearby in case the oil sputters.)

Drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Serve.
