Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Boil the yams in enough water to cover until almost fork-tender, about 20 minutes. Drain the yams and cool slightly. Peel and cut into large chunks.
Put the yams in a baking dish. Top with the butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon, allspice, brown sugar and nutmeg. Drizzle with the honey. Bake until the yams are heated through and the top begins to brown, about 15 minutes.
