Ingredients

  • 4 large slices Italian peasant bread
  • 2 garlic cloves, cut in 1/2
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt or rock salt

Directions

Preheat the grill or broiler.

Grill or toast both sides of the 4 slices of bread until golden brown. Place the hot, toasted bread on serving platters. Careful not to break the bread, generously rub each bread slice with the cut sides of the garlic cloves. Drizzle the olive oil generously in equal amounts over the bread slices. Sprinkle with salt and serve the hot bruschetta immediately.
