Mango Chai Martini

Ingredients

3 ounces mango juice

2 ounces vodka

2 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon Chai Masala, recipe follows

Crushed ice

Mango chunks, for garnish

Chai Masala:

1 tablespoon fennel seeds

2 teaspoons green cardamom pods

1 teaspoon whole cloves

1 teaspoon ground ginger

5 brown cardamom pods

One 2-inch piece cinnamon stick

Directions

  1. Place the juice, vodka, sugar and Chai Masala into a cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Shake until ice cold, and then strain into a martini glass. 
  2. Thread chunks of mango on a toothpick or cocktail stick and use to garnish the drink.

Chai Masala:

  1. Grind the fennel seeds, green cardamom pods, cloves, ginger, brown cardamom pods and cinnamon stick in an electric spice grinder. Store in an airtight jar.
