3/4 ounce or 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet vermouth

2 ounces or 1/4 cup rye whiskey

2 dashes Angostura bitters

Ice, as needed

Lemon twist, for garnish


  1. Combine the vermouth, whiskey and bitters in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to mix and chill. Strain the liquid into a coupe glass or Champagne saucer and garnish with the lemon twist to serve.
