Sauteed Plantains

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons canola oil

2 plantains, sliced in 1/2 vertically on bias and then cut lengthwise

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, heat butter and oil over medium-low heat until butter melts, add plantains and saute until golden brown, and a fork goes through the flesh easily, 10 to 12 minutes. Turn occasionally to brown all sides.
